All in all, I had a wonderful birthday.  Thanks to all of you that sent birthday wishes via Facebook, email and US mail.  Every message made me smile! My hubby did very well this year.  I received this stunning orchid necklace and a memorable dinner at Niche.  I highly recommend it.  Over the weekend I was able to spend some time with my Mom.  I haven’t seen her since our trip to England in January so quality time was well overdue.

Thanks to those, four, of you that shared your birthday stories it’s just a shame there weren’t more.  So, the names went into a hat and the winner is Mel!  Congrats Mel!  I’ll be contacting you via email for your snail mail info.

I hope to have more crafting projects to share soon and perhaps some new recipes!

This week is my birthday week and to celebrate I’m having a giveaway!  I haven’t done a giveaway in a while and it’s long overdue.  Last weekend I made another Buttercup purse with plans to make more. I can’t seem to stop.  The size and style is perfect and the best part is I can finish one in a couple of hours.

This red canvas and cherry dot fabric purse is up for grabs!

Lately, my birthday’s have been pretty low-key.  I had a big blowout for my 30th a few years ago and now its all down hill from here!  Only kidding, really, age doesn’t seem to bother me too much yet.  Mostly, I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with family and friends.  It does seem to be turning into a week-long affair but there’s nothing wrong with that right?

To enter this giveaway: Please post a comment describing your ideal birthday or your favorite birthday memory by Midnight, Sunday April 12th.  I’ll announce the winner on Monday, April 12th.  Good luck!

Congrats to Lo

on being this month’s giveaway winner.  This will be the end of the monthly giveaways for a while. The cover is going on the sewing machine while I focus on other projects.

February Giveaway

Sorry for the delay on this month’s giveaway.  Usually I post it on the 1st but this month has already gotten away from me.  Anyway, onto the goodies.

It turned out the little box pouch I made this week is the perfect size for a Reeses Chocolate heart. So, I made another one for this month’s giveaway!  The pouch comes with the chocolate, of course.

The hubby and I don’t usually do anything special for Valentines Day.  As with most years we stay home. I cook a nice meal and purchase a heart-shaped Hank’s cheesecake for dessert.  Cheesy in more ways than one!

To be entered in this giveaway all you have to do is post a comment telling me what you have planned for Valentine’s Day this year.  It could be for your sweetheart, kids, loved-one or yourself.  You have till Midnight on Monday, Feb. 9th. I’ll post the winner on Tuesday.

Thanks to those that stopped by and entered this month’s giveaway.  Good news is that everyone that posted a comment will be receiving their matchbook of choice! YAY!

It was great to hear what your New Year’s Resolutions are for 2009.  I’ll be contacting you via email for snail mail addresses this coming week.  I hope to have a new tutorial later this month so stay tuned.

The Enforcer

January Giveaway

Happy New Year everyone! For this month’s giveaway I decided to work with a fun paper tool I recently acquired. So, for those of you that don’t live by your hand held devices (not that there’s anything wrong with that) I have created these little matchbook calendars and notebooks.  The coolest part is that each month or page is perforated.  It’s something you can keep in your purse or in the car.  Dentist appoitment 6 months from now?  Who can remember that!  Want to keep tabs on your New Year’s resolutions?  Then these will come in very handy!

Two for the Money on dvd

I enjoyed this project a lot and I could makes these till the cows come home…hum…perhaps they would make a cute Etsy store starter?  Your thoughts?

Here’s how to enter: Just leave a comment by Midnight, Monday Jan. 5 telling me one of your New Years Resolutions and whether you like the matchbook notebook or the calendar.  I’ll post the winners on Tuesday, Jan 6th.

November Giveaway

Guess what…chicken butt!  It’s time again for another giveaway!

With the holidays coming up some of you maybe stumped for handmade gift ideas.  If that’s the case, I have the perfect solution!  A few months ago, Borders was having a sale on these adorable Denyse Schmidt Quilt-It Kits (15 Colorful Quilt and Patchwork Projects).  I grabbed a few and kept one for myself.  Now, one could be yours!  It’s still in its original package so if you’re not a sewer it could make a great gift.

I’ve made a couple of projects from the kit so far and the instructions are great.  Most of the projects are quick and can be completed in a few hours.  Some of the projects included are fabric coasters, a tote bag, and an adorable patchwork apron.  As an extra bonus, I’ve included two fat quarters of the new Amy Butler Daisy Chain fabric. All you have to do to win is post a comment by Midnight, Wednesday Nov. 5th and tell me what you plan to make this holiday season.  Best of luck to you all!
