Canon ImageClass D680 – Feel Great About How You Print
The Canon ImageClass D680 printer uses Canon ImageClass D680 Toner and combines three machines into one. Canon is known for its world class copying but the Canon ImageClass D680 printer also provides you with high quality printing and fax machine functions. The laser printer and copier use Canon’s advanced printing technology and single cartridge system. The laser resolution is 600 x 600 dots per inch. The single cartridge system includes the drum, toner and development unit all in one easy to replace cartridge.
The paper-loading cassette can hold up to 500 sheets of paper. There is an additional multi-purpose tray that has a capacity of 100 sheets and an automatic document feeder that can hold 30 pages. On regular sized A4 paper the copy/print speed is 13 copies per minute and on legal sized paper the maximum copy and print speed is 10 cpi.
The Canon ImageClass D680 printer works when using Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 95 and later versions. It does not work on a Mac operating system. The printer comes with an upgradeable option to have an Axis 1610 Network adapter; otherwise the machine hooks up using a parallel port or USB connection. It comes with two different warranties; a 3-year limited warranty that comes with very specific requirement and terms and a one-year on site service warranty.
The copier has an excellent range for enlarging and reducing documents thanks to the D680 Toner Cartridges. The zoom can be adjusted in 1% increments up to a maximum of 200%. The copier also comes with some preset enlargement and reduction ratios with the smallest reduction being 80% and the largest being 200%. It is also possible to input in your own custom percentage.
The Canon ImageClass D680 printer warms up very quickly with a 13 second warm up at the beginning of the day and a 1 second warm up throughout the day. The copier as 6Mb of memory and the printer has 2 MB of memory. The printer has a photo mode and toner saving mode and also has a memory collate function. It is an Energy Star compliant machine.
The fax machine has many different options and only takes 3 minutes to transmit a single page. Its memory makes it perfect for those that receive faxes from overseas or who frequently forget to load enough paper.
You have a few reciever options of answering machine, fax/telephone switch, manual, DRDP, and fax only. It also has options for polling reception, delayed transmission, memory back up, sub address sending and activity reports.
