For a while now I’ve been taking project photos at home with lighting that’s been pretty sub-par and making changes in Photoshop. It’s not the easiest solution but its manageable.

We have an outdated vanity area in our downstairs bathroom that is ideal for staging shots. There are a bunch of great tutorials out there on how to set up your own photo studio or lightbox they are very helpful. So, using this space, some white matte board and a handy metal clip-on work lamp (with a 100 watt bulb) it worked out great. This small lamp was purchased at Home Depot for $6.47 + tax. One does the job but two are ideal. Especially, if you’re in a basement or poorly lit room. Worth every penny!
